MUZAFFARABAD: Opposition leader in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen deemed India’s interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma’s second visit a bid to hoodwink the international community on Indian Occupied Kashmir’s (IOK) current situation, which is not in the control of the Indian military establishment.
“If Sharma is sincere in providing relief to the people of IOK then he should probe the countless unmarked graves, the custodial killings, disappearances and the molestation cases that have been committed by Indian occupational troops since the 1990s,” said Yaseen.
The genuine leaders of the people of Kashmir are either under house arrest or have been sent behind bars and in such a situation Sharma’s visit will also benefit New Dehli, which has been violating human rights in Occupied Kashmir for some time now.
Yaseen further said that IOK’s people are fully aware of New Delhi’s tactics to buy time by sending the interlocutor but such moves will only serve to strengthen the struggle for liberation.
“The people of IOK serve as testers for any weapon, ranging from pellet guns to pepper guns, manufactured by the Indian ordnance factories, which clearly shows the Indian establishment’s attitude towards the people and how they want to treat them,” he said.
He assured the people of IOK that Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and opposition parties are with them and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC). He reiterated that the people of IOK are not fighting for the right of self-determination alone and they are just in asking for the right according to the United Nations’ charter.
Yaseen said that Sharma’s visit to IOK is to defame APHC and its leadership that categorically rejected his repeated pleas of meeting and we salute the APHC leadership which closed the doors for the former spy master of India whose hands are also soaked with blood of Kashmiris when he was heading the Intelligence Bureau.
Yaseen said that the nation that sacrificed more than 100 million people since the 1990s will never come under Sharma’s influence, who is the mastermind behind rising Hindu extremism in India that paved the way for the Bharatiya Janata Party to come into power and push Christians, Muslims and other minorities against a wall in India.
“A person who has spent his whole career making plans to kill Muslims in India, will never be sincere in settling the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of IOK’s people,” Yaseen added.
Yaseen also said that Sharma’s main agenda is to spread sectarianism in IOK, aimed at weakening the liberation struggle. He, however, said that the Kashmiris will never fulfill Sharma and Ajit Doval’s wishes.
