ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday categorically rejected the Indian allegations of involvement in an attack on Indian security forces in occupied Kashmir’s Uri area near Line of Control.
Talking to Pakistan Television, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that Indian government never furnished evidences to substantiate their claims rather continuously blamed Pakistan even without carrying out independent investigation into any incident.
He said Indian involvement in terror financing in Pakistan has been exposed by the Indian spy Kulbhavashan Yadev arrested in Pakistan revealing that India had been financing terrorist activities in Balochistan, Karachi and other areas.
He also recalled the statement of former American Defence Secretary Chuck Hegel saying that India had been financing from Afghanistan for instability in Pakistan.
To a comment about Indian media’s biased reporting, the Foreign Office spokesman said Indian media acted as mouthpiece of the Indian government always toeing the official line.
The spokesperson said Pakistan had taken up the issue of Indian atrocities in IoK at the highest level including United Nations and OIC. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has written letters to secretary generals of the UN and OIC, he added.
He said OIC Human Rights Commission had condemned the Indian brutalities in Iok and the UN HR Commission had asked for sending the fact finding commission to the region that was rejected by India.
Nafees Zakaria said the whole world was focused at the Indian atrocities against innocent Kashmiris but India was striving to conceal the facts.
He said Pakistan had submitted three dossiers with the UN furnishing evidences of terror financing by India in Pakistan.
He said the threads of Indian efforts to destabilize Pakistan go to 1947 as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had admitted the Indian role in 1971 breakup of Pakistan.
He said besides UN General Assembly, Kashmir issue would also be raised forcefully on the sidelines including the OIC ministerial meeting, OIC Contact Group and many bilateral meetings of the prime minister, foreign adviser and the foreign secretary.
The foreign office spokesperson said Indian media should report balanced and objectively and added that Pakistani media had played positive role to highlight the Indian brutalities in IoK.
He said Foreign Office had been organizing multiple activities to highlight Kashmir issue by engaging civil society; however realized the need for a mechanism to duly highlight these efforts.
He said after 2005 earthquake, people from across the world came to Azad Kashmir for relief activities but no one pointed out any injustice being done to Kashmiri people.
The spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan would continue extending diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of kashmir until they are given their right to self-determination as provided by the UN Security Council resolutions. –APP
