QUETTA: According to police officials on Thursday, a female human rights activist was shot and killed by her brother in the Zhob town neighborhood of Jail Road.
They claimed that Musarat Aziz and other family members were present at the house where the unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday. They claimed that the suspect and his wife stormed into the house, started shooting, immediately killed his sister, and fled.
Soon after learning of the event, police raced to the scene and moved the body to the district hospital.
According to doctors cited by the police, “she suffered multiple bullet injuries which caused her instant death.”
For the past two years, Ms. Aziz, a widow, has been in charge of Toheed Technical Centre in Zhob, where she teaches local women technical skills in order to make a living.
Ms. Aziz’s brother asked her to stop her human rights and social activism since he didn’t like it.
According to a senior police officer, Ms. Aziz was shot dead by her brother and his wife when they entered the residence where a discussion was taking place to decide whether or not she should continue her human rights and social advocacy work.
