LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) said on Monday that its revenue for the month of February increased by 22.43% on an annual basis to Rs19.1 billion.
According to a PRA spokeswoman, the authority has been given a target of Rs240 billion for 2023–2024. This objective is expected to be met through a multifaceted approach that includes engaging stakeholders, facilitating and educating taxpayers, and making good use of information technology that is appropriately supplemented by enforcement actions.
In FY23, it brought in more than the predicted objective of Rs190 billion, or Rs201.5 billion.
According to the PRA spokeswoman, the authority collects sales tax on services, the Punjab Infrastructure Development Cess, and the Punjab Workers’ Welfare Fund, which together account for more than 66% of the province’s total source revenue.
