KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Monday condemned the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan along with Pakistan Peoples Party for “grabbing its mandate” in Karachi and Hyderabad and stated that it would initiate a movement to organize its people in order to reclaim back their “stolen mandate”.
PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh asserted during a press conference held at the Karachi Press Club that his party’s independent candidates had won two seats in Hyderabad and twenty of the 22 National Assembly seats in Karachi.
The PPP secured seven NA seats in the city, while the MQM-P secured fifteen NA seats in Karachi including two in Hyderabad.
He predicted that the incoming Central administration would not last more than five months, accompanied by Khurram Sher Zaman, the president of the Pakistan Tea Party, and other people.
Haleem Adil claims his party won 20 of the 22 NA seats in the city, but Forms-47 results were altered by ROs.
Speaking about the outcomes of the general elections held on February 8, he claimed that the Form-45s and the votes cast for the PTI were irrefutable evidence of its victory.
He said that the Election Commission had given our candidates weird insignia and that the party’s famous election symbol, the “bat,” had been stolen. On election day, internet service was even suspended, but a record number of people cast ballots in favor of us.
He declared, “The country rendered a verdict in favor of PTI,” but he also claimed, “The returning officers unlawfully altered the results in Forms-47.”
According to the PTI leader, the party has gained 183 NA seats nationwide, with two and twenty of those seats being in Hyderabad and Karachi. “MQM-P chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was defeated by our worker Arslan Khalid,” he declared.
“In Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other cities as well, our mandate was stolen. “We intend to relocate the courts and retrieve our stolen mandate,” he declared.
To express gratitude to its supporters, he declared that the PTI would begin a large-scale mobilization effort in the city.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Sher Zaman suggested that people shun “thieves.”
He claimed that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the PPP chairman, had only displayed Form-45s for his Larkana constituency.
“We have faith in our judiciary, so we will go to courts with evidence after our intra-party elections on March 3,” he continued.
