PESHAWAR: The military’s media affairs wing reported on Wednesday that a gunfight between security forces as well as militants in North Waziristan resulted in the deaths of six militants and the injury of a soldier.
According to an ISPR statement, there was a lot of gunfire during the IBO that the security forces carried out in response to reports of militant presence. According to the statement, this led to the deaths of six militants and the injury of one soldier.
“Meanwhile, the terrorists who were killed were found to have been involved in multiple terrorist acts, such as killing targets and kidnapping innocent bystanders, and they also had weapons, ammunition, and explosives recovered from them,” the statement continued.
The statement added that the villagers appreciated the operation and gave their full cooperation to end the threat of militancy. It further mentioned that a sanitization operation was being carried out to remove any additional militant found in the region.
