LIMA: I’m going to arrest you, but happy Valentine’s Day! On Wednesday, a sweet gesture turned into a police raid that resulted in the arrest of two Peruvian ladies who were charged with cocaine trafficking.
In the police footage from the raid, a huge teddy bear was seen outside the women’s house with gifts, and another officer was holding a sign with a heart on it that said, “You are my reason to smile.”
She hurried down the steps to give her offering to one of the women.
However, love may be misleading, and the cute bear instantly acted, bringing her to the ground with a tackling move. Inside, the other lady was taken into custody.
The officer in disguise subsequently stated, “It was a surprise action for them as part of the day of love.”
The mother and daughter, according to the police, were dealers of cocaine paste and marijuana out of their northern Lima house. They belonged to a gang known as “the drug cheats.”
At the site, hundreds of narcotics packages were found.
Peruvian police have gotten very good at dressing up for operations that are held on specific days in an effort to trick and apprehend criminals.
According to a police spokesman, the officers “disguised themselves utilizing the teddy bear since drugs were sold there.”
