ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance on Wednesday hiked the price of petrol by Rs2 per liter, after seven months of stability.
The price was increased after seven months of stability in rates of petroleum products in the country.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had recommended Rs6.24 hike in price of petrol.
He went on to announce that the prices of light diesel and kerosene oil will remain the same for the month of November.
The new price will take effect from 12 midnight on November 01.
