An explosion is reported to have destroyed part of a building in a major city centre.
The blast is thought to have taken place near the junction of Benalder Street and Dumbarton Road in West Glasgow.
Police, ambulance and fire crews raced to the scene in the minutes after the blast is said to have partially destroyed a building.
Early reports are that the affected property is the rear of the Italian restaurant La Riviera, which fronts on to Dumbarton Road.
According to Record Online understands at least one person was hurt in the incident when a car swerving to avoid fallen masonry collided with someone crossing the road.
Greater Glasgow Police said: “Emergency services at Benalder Street, Partick following reports of a dangerous building.

Scottish Fire and Rescue added: “Firefighters at Benalder Street, Glasgow amid reports of dangerous building.”
Witnesses told how they saw a woman apparently being treated for shock by paramedics nearby.
