PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer of the martyred district police officer in Qilla Abdullah district of Chaman, Sajid Khan Mohmand, was offered in Malik Saad Shaheed in Peshawar on Tuesday.
A large number of high-ups from the government were present at the funeral prayers, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nazeer Ahmed Butt, KP Inspector General Salahuddin Mehsud and Frontier Constabulary Commandant Liaquat Ali.
The martyred officer will be buried in a graveyard in his native town, Duran Pur in Peshawar.
DPO Sajid Khan was martyred in a terrorist attack on Boghra Road in Chaman on Monday.
Around a dozen police personnel and civilians were also injured in the attack, police officials said.
