QUETTA: Iranian military opened fire along the border in the Washuk district of Balochistan, killing four Pakistani nationals and injuring two more.
The shooting happened late on Tuesday night in the Judar-Bacharai border area, according to officials.
According to a top Mashkel administration official, “Iranian forces operated fire inside Pakistani border.” The deceased were seated in the Pakistani border region when the Iranian forces opened fire.
“Four bodies and two injured have been received,” Dr. Ashraf of the Mashkel Rural Health Center stated. An official stationed at the border stated, “The Pakistani nationals killed and injured were involved in the supply of Iranian smuggled oil.”
But according to one of the injured, Akhtar, they were waiting for an oil cargo when the Iranian soldiers opened fire, killing eight people—four of whom were Iranians who were escorted out of the country.
