MACHH – At least four people were reportedly killed while 13 others sustained injuries as two blasts hit railway track in Macch today (Friday).
The first bomb targeting Jaffar Express left eight people injured while the second blast was taken place when rescue process of the wounded people was underway.
Security officials arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter whereas a search operation has also been initiated in the area.
The victims have been shifted to civil hospital.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that external elements could have involvement in the blasts.
He said we will hold proper inquiry that who has allowed the train to travel without security clearance. He also revealed that one suspected person has been taken into custody.
Earlier, one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire with Frontier Corps (FC) in Dera Murad Jamali.
The officials were guarding the railway track when they spotted a suspicious man installing a bomb at the railway track. They chased him and killed him during an exchange of fire.
Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 5kg, one sub-machine gun (SMG), detonator and wires were recovered from the terrorist.
The killed terrorist was identified as Zafar Bugti who is the local commander of a banned outfit.
