ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Four C-130 PAF aircraft carrying 30 bedded hospital, special search and rescue teams and relief items have been dispatched to Nepal today (Sunday) to provide relief to the earthquake victims, Dunya News reported.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the 30 bedded hospitals comprises of Pakistan army doctors’ team of specialists which include surgical, medical, orthopedic, gynecologist, anesthesiologist, child specialist, radiologist and paramedics.
An urban search and rescue team of Pakistan Army which is highly specialized for rescue during natural disasters has also been sent.
The urban search and rescue team is equipped with ground penetrating radars and concrete cutter.
Besides this, the team is specially trained to search people trapped in rubble whereas it also carries sniffing dogs.
Moreover, food items have also been dispatched which include 2000 meal ready to eat packs, eatables, water bottles, medicines, 200 tents, 600 blankets and other necessary items.
