KARACHI: A cancer awareness seminar was held at the National Coaching Centre on Saturday organised by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).
People from all across the city attended the seminar and received information about the early diagnosis and symptoms of cancer.
Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Muhammad Naseem while speaking to Geo News said PAEC started its awareness campaign and provided medical treatment from 1960. He added that 18 centres have been established and 800,000 patients have been treated.
Due to unawareness for cancer among people oral, mouth, prostate are common in men and breast cancer are increasing in women as well
Health experts urged people to take green vegetables in their meal and walk for 30 minutes on a daily basis to decrease the chances of cancer.
