Express grief over terror attacks in Saudi Arabia, Iraq
National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah have greeted the people of the State and the Muslim Ummah in general on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Praying for peace and prosperity in the State, Dr. Farooq Abdullah in his message said “The spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fasting in the month of Ramzan and rededicate ourselves to the path of truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, patience and human dignity”
In his message on Eid-ul-Fitr, NC Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah has extended his warmest greetings to the people of the State and prayed this auspicious occasion becomes a new harbinger for peace and amity in the State. He also hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood.
Dr. Farooq and Omar Abdullah have also condemned the suicide attacks in Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the strongest of terms and said such acts of violence in Islam’s second holiest city is painful for Muslims all over the world. Expressing profound grief over the incident of a suicide bomb attack near Masjid-al-Nabawi in Medina, Dr. Farooq and Omar Abdullah have called this an outrageous, highly provocative act aimed at hurting Muslims all over the world.
