DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Judge-II for Additional Sessions Two seminary students were given the death penalty by Muhammad Jameel, while one student was given life in jail for killing their young teacher because they were accused of blasphemy.
Asad Aziz Advocate defended the defendants, while public prosecutors Tanseer Ali and Haji Shakeel Advocate represented the prosecution.
The guilty parties were also fined Rs. 2 million apiece by the judge. He fined the child Rs. 1 million, giving her a life sentence for being underage.
A police report states that on March 29, 2022, three female students from Jamia Islamia Falah Al-Banat, which is situated in the Anjumabad district on the Dera-Multan Road within the cantonment police station’s boundaries, killed a young female instructor who worked at their madressah on the grounds that she had committed blasphemy.
According to the FIR, Umra Amaan, 24, Razia Hanifia, 21, and Aisha Noman, 17, stabbed their instructor Safoora Bibi, 18, in the throat after injuring her with a stick at the seminary gate.
The accused kids told the police in their first statement that one of their classmates had told them about a dream she had had in which the teacher had committed blasphemy and her killer would receive the good news of paradise.
The Mehsud tribe of South Waziristan is home to both the killers and the deceased, who are presently living in the Anjumabad region of this region.
Zahid, the deceased’s uncle, was in the residence when the seminary administration told him that his niece had been killed, according to the FIR. Upon arriving at the madressah, he discovered his niece’s brutally murdered body sprawled out in the roadway.
The three pupils were later taken into custody by the police, who also found knives and sticks on them.
