LAHORE: Muhammad Abdul Aamer Khattak, the division commissioner for Multan, was transferred by the Punjab government on Wednesday and assigned to the division commissioner job for Rawalpindi.
Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, director general of the Rawalpindi Development Authority, is relieved of his additional responsibilities as Pindi commissioner following the reorganization.
When Liaqat Ali Chattha, the incumbent commissioner of the Rawalpindi Division, tendered his resignation on February 8, he claimed that there had been widespread election tampering on all national as well as provincial assembly seats under his purview. This left the position empty.
Secretary Marryam Khan of the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) and I&C has been transferred and assigned to the position of Multan Commissioner.
