RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with Saudi King Shah Salman Bin Abdul Aziz during the three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, reported Dunya News.
Both leaders mutually agreed on the responsibilities of being part of Muslim Ummah. Moreover, the countries agreed on combined effort to fight terrorism.
The discussion concluded on the agenda that new mechanism was needed by the two states to eradicate extremism.
Army Chief also met with the Saudi Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud who assured full support to Pakistan in ensuring peace process in the country, according to ISPR sources.
Furthermore, General Qamar Javed Bajwa promised complete security for the holy places in Saudi Arabia along with its regional sovereignty. COAS had another meeting with General Abd ur Rehman Bin Saleh who is the Chief of Saudi Forces.
The meetings between both countries discussed enhancement of mutual understanding in security concerns.
