QUETTA: Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti of Balochistan declared that his government was prepared to accept terrorists who choose to forsake violence and integrate into society.
The chief minister remarked at a seminar called the “Balochistan Youth State Harmony Summit” that anti-state elements mislead people about a variety of topics and historical events in an effort to instigate and provoke the Baloch youth against the state.
The Voice of Balochistan collaborated with the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (Buitems) to organize the event.
The panel included anchor Shahid Rind, MPA Dr. Rubaba Buledi, former militant commander Sarfraz Bangulzai, and vice chancellor of Buitems, Dr. Khalid Hafeez.
According to the CM, the state is the only organization that has the right to use force against those who are contesting the legitimacy and authority of the government.
Nobody would be permitted to use force to get what they wanted, he declared, adding that “it is against the religion, customs, culture and society.”
While acknowledging that Bangulzai was on the wrong path, Mr. Bugti expressed gratitude to the state for accepting the former militant commander back into society.
“Everyone who wishes to integrate into society will receive assistance from the government,” Mr. Bugti declared.
In reference to the unhappy Baloch, he stated that those who have chosen the road of violence and killed innocent civilians are not disgruntled; rather, they are militants.
According to the CM, the true aggrieved Baloch are the young people who finish school but are unable to find employment because politicians and bureaucracy sell them off.
“When jobs are sold for money instead of being given on merit, there will be disharmony between the state and the youth,” Mr. Bugti stated.
He declared that no jobs will be sold while he served as chief minister.
Mr. Bugti declared that the rights of the Balochistani people and the province’s wealth will not be compromised.
The chief minister stated that the federal government will be instructed to uphold the rights of the province’s citizens by taking a strong stand “but in a polite way.” Mr. Bugti emphasized the need to raise awareness among young people since extremists in Singapore and Dubai are deceiving them on social media.
“The war on terror that we are currently fighting is a fight for our survival being fought by our brave soldiers; it is not a fight between militants and the army.”
