Paris, (PR ) : Chaudhry Naeem Akhtar, Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Forum France, member of the Central Executive Committee of PML-N, and former Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir for Europe, has strongly condemned the statement of the illegally imposed Lieutenant Governor of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, regarding shutting down the UN Military Observers’ Office for India and Pakistan in Srinagar and sending the mission back.
In his statement, Chaudhry Naeem Akhtar said that Manoj Sinha is proving to be more loyal than the king himself. The UN Military Observers’ offices in Srinagar were established under the resolutions acknowledged by the United Nations Security Council, and these resolutions have been accepted by India. Any deviation from or closure of these offices would be a direct denial of the Security Council’s decisions.
He emphasized that the UN Security Council’s resolutions on Occupied Jammu & Kashmir are still fully applicable, and violating these resolutions could trigger sanctions against India itself. He termed the statement of the Lieutenant Governor as baseless, ignorant, and lacking understanding. It appears, he said, that this statement is an attempt by India to divert the attention of its public from internal issues and severe economic crisis and to create artificial popularity for the BJP.
He further said that the extremist Indian government has failed to resolve economic and internal challenges, manage its disorganized military, counter internal separatist movements, and defend its borders. Therefore, under the Chanakya doctrine, the BJP has now started conspiring to endanger regional and international peace.
He concluded that the government and people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir reject this statement and demand the United Nations to take notice of India’s illegal declarations and actions, and impose sanctions on India for violating UN and Security Council resolutions.
