LARKANA: In order to address issues with the economy and security, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday urged the creation of a National Charter of Reconciliation and judicial reforms.
Addressing a group at the president’s camp office at Naudero House, the PPP leader emphasized the necessity for political parties to collaborate and each have a share in resolving the nation’s problems.
He continued by saying that his party chose to back the current administration out of respect for the will of the people.
“The people sent a message to work together to make Pakistan a modern country by casting their votes.”
Mr. Bhutto-Zardari asserts that rather than interfering with parliament, opposition members have to acknowledge that the public has cast their ballots in favor of them and fulfill their electoral mandate.
“I see politicians talking about their egos every time I visit the parliament,” bemoaned the PPP leader, who is also a National Assembly member.
“We could do much more to effectively address the economic issues with political reconciliation — where all institutions remain within their realm of responsibilities.”
The PPP leader declared, “We must work together to pull people out of poverty,” and promised that the party would do its part to address other concerns as well as economic ones.
In addition, he expressed gratitude to everyone for their “unwavering support and struggle,” which made it possible for his father, Asif Ali Zardari, to win the presidency twice.
Mr. Bhutto-Zardari also discussed the Supreme Court referral his father made in the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case during his first tenure as president.
The trial of the former prime minister was ruled unjust by the Supreme Court in a brief ruling, but the PPP chairman stated that “we are waiting for the detailed order.”
On April 14, he announced, the PPP would host a historic congregation in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to commemorate the former prime minister’s death anniversary and honor his “dynamic leadership.”
The ceremony has been rescheduled from April 4, the anniversary of the former prime minister’s death, because of Ramazan, according to Mr. Bhutto-Zardari, who added that participants would come from all around the nation.
In order to advance his seat NA-194 in Larkana and PS-11, where his political secretary, Jamil Soomro, won the election with a resounding majority, he also asked the electorate to identify priorities and work together.
In addition, the PPP chairman asked MPAs and MNAs in his party to represent their citizens.
The PPP Women Wing Chairperson Faryal Talpur, Aijaz Jakhrani, PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro, and other local PPP leaders and workers joined the Iftar celebration.
