KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tuesday visited the home of qawwal Amjad Sabri in Liaquatabad and met his family to offer condolence.
Accompanied by Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and others, Bilawal Bhutto visited the densely-populated neighbourhood under strong and elaborate security arrangements.
He offered Fateha and stayed with the family for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, he briefly spoke to media persons. “I share the grief of the bereaved family as I also belong to family of martyrs,” he said.
When a reporter asked question about Sindh government’s measures to recover Sindh Chief Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah’s abducted son and track down the killers of Amjad Sabri, Bilawal said “I’m here for condolence and not for issuing politic statements.”
He then passed the question to Sohail Anwar Siyal, saying that “Jawab Do Sindh government Jawab Do.” (You give the answer, Sindh government!)
The apparently hesitant minister came to the dice and hurriedly informed the media about the case investigation. “A joint investigation team has been formed and we are trying to apprehend the killers.”
