ISLAMABAD: Under the direction of federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi, a meeting was held here on Wednesday to approve a comprehensive security plan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
The conference was attended by the chief commissioner, the inspector general (IG), the deputy commissioner of Islamabad, the deputy commandant of the Federal Civilian Corps (FC), the sector commander of the Pakistan Rangers, and officials of security agencies.
Speaking at the gathering, the interior minister emphasized the importance of having the SCO summit held in the nation and noted that several heads of state would be in attendance, making it a great honor for the country.
He claimed that more members of the Punjab police, FC, Rangers, and Pakistan Army would be sent in to make sure the guests are completely safe.
