ISLAMABAD, Sept 10 (APP): Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan, Essa Abdulla Al Basha Al Noaimi on Tuesday called on Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. While talking to the Ambassador of UAE Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan and UAE enjoy close and brotherly relations.Finance Minister said that present government had inherited a difficult financial situation, said a statement. “We are now coming to grips with the problems and addressing them with a view to improve our economy”, he added.The minister referred various economic initiatives taken by the government and recently concluded programme with IMF. International donor agencies like ADB, IMF and World Bank had now taken comfort and were forthcoming to do business with Pakistan, he added.
He said that he brings greetings from Shaikh Rashid Al Makhtoom, the Finance Minister of UAE for Senator Ishaq Dar and assurances of continued cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador said that UAE would respond positively to the call made by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for investment and expansion of bilateral ties between the two countries.
