LAHORE: A committee has been established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to sell the media and production rights, live streaming, and screening rights of the bilateral international series that will take place in Pakistan during the course of the following three years.
Salman Naseer, chief operational officer of PCB, and Babar Hameed, director of commercial, are members of the committee.
According to information obtained by Dawn, the PCB plans to sell the media rights for between Rs. 15 and Rs. 20 billion for 100 days of international matches that will take place in the nation during the next three years.
The PCB plans to grant screen rights for approximately Rs2 billion, production rights for Rs10 billion, and live streaming rights for about Rs2 billion.
According to sources who spoke with Dawn, the PCB is likely to stick with the same partners for the media and production rights—WorldTrans and ARY, respectively—that won the rights to the current PSL 9 and 10. This is because PTV, the state-run broadcaster, might not be interested in bidding. Additionally, the PTV was not included in the PSL 9 and 10 bidding.
