The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that on Wednesday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 rocked some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center of the PMD reports that the earthquake struck at 8:24 p.m. PST.
The earthquake’s epicentre was 130 kilometers deep in the Hindu Kush region. It was located at latitude 36.25 North and longitude 70.19 East, respectively.
Spokesman for Rescue 1122 Bilal Faizi said that shocks were felt throughout KP, including Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, and other locations.
Faizi stated in an interview with Dawn.com that there were no recorded incidents during the earthquake.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 was recorded in Islamabad and the adjacent areas last month (PMD).
The epicentre of the earthquake, according to the PMD, was in the Hindu Kush region and it happened at a depth of 142 kilometers.
