RAWALPINDI: The Mid-City Apartments in Moza Gangal Rawalpindi, which are situated on Old Airport Road, had 15 residential apartments and one restaurant successfully sealed by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) enforcement team.
According to the RDA spokeswoman, the move was made as part of a campaign to stop the unlawful conversion of residential apartments into commercial spaces. In contravention of RDA regulations, which forbid such operations in residential zones, the apartments were being used for commercial reasons.
Key RDA officers conducted the operation with assistance from the Rawalpindi police department’s Old Airport Police Station.
This operation is a component of RDA’s continuous efforts to uphold the integrity of Rawalpindi’s residential neighborhoods and implement zoning restrictions. Ensuring that properties inside the city comply with approved land use and building standards is a priority for the RDA.
“We will continue to take strong actions against those who violate the regulations and misuse residential properties for commercial purposes,” stated Kinza Murtaza, the director general of the RDA. Maintaining the city’s urban planning standards and guaranteeing the security and well-being of its citizens are the goals of this operation.
To keep Rawalpindi’s streets secure, open, and welcome for everyone, the public is urged to work with authorities to maintain encroachment-free zones.
