KARACHI: Militants fired several rockets at Naval Complex in Karachi on Wednesday evening. Unknown militants fired three rockets, targeting different sensitive installations including Karachi Port and Pakistan Naval Complex. Talking to The Nation, SP City Sheraz Nazir told that first rocket hit the wall of naval complex situated in Agra Taj area.
The second rocket targeted the house at Machar Colony and the third rocket hit the container terminal of Karachi Port. SP Sheraz said initial investigation revealed that the first rocket was fired from Lyari riverbed near Pak Colony while the dimensions of two other rockets have yet to be ascertained. Investigators are still trying to locate the positions from where the last two rockets were fired. –Our staff reporter
He pointed out that it is believed that the two rockets were fired from the Sultanabad area.
He said no one was harmed in all the three attacks while a woman was injured in the attack at the house in Machar Colony area. SP Sheraz said all the three attacks were coordinated and carried out by the terrorists in avenge of the targeted operation against the militants in Karachi and North Waziristan.
