NAROWAL: Over the course of the previous four days, snakebites in Shakargarh have killed two people and injured five more.
Farmers Tanveer Ahmed and Muhammad Bashir perished from snakebite injuries sustained while tending to their crops.
Tanveer received first aid from Rescue 1122, however he passed away from his wounds while being transported to the hospital. Muhammad Bashir passed away right away.
Five other people, Faisal Abbas, Khizr Hayat, Adnan Zafar, Hania Ejaz, and Sakhawat Ali, were bitten by snakes and are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals, according to hospital sources.
The district administration was asked by the locals to act quickly and use insecticides to curb the increasing number of snakes.
Dr. Naveed Haider, the chief executive officer of the District Health Authority, has guaranteed that victims are receiving care and that all public hospitals carry the snake bite vaccine.

HURDLED:The Zafarwal deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was seriously hurt on Monday when his official car slid during a downpour and collided with a wall in this area.
According to a spokesman for the Narowal district police, DSP Nasir Mahmood Pannu was traveling in an official vehicle from Narowal to Zafarwal. The car slipped near Tapiala stop on Zafarwal Road due to heavy rain, lost control, and struck a wall.
After providing first aid, a Rescue 1122 team arrived at the location and transported Nasir Pannu to the District Headquarters Hospital in Narowal.
The police official stated that the DSP had multiple injuries throughout his body.
According to Naeem Akhtar, the Rescue 1122 emergency officer for Narowal District, the police officer sustained rib fractures in the collision.
Sources within the police department state that the DSP was his route to apprehend a wanted offender who was discovered to be in the Zafarwal police district.
