MIAMI: Two people are dead and multiple people are wounded following a shooting in Miami early Tuesday, police said.
Authorities said the shooting happened in the streets of the Liberty City neighborhood and police were trying to determine how many were injured. Some victims walked into the hospital on their own, Miami police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said.
A spokeswoman at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital said she could not release any information, including how many people were brought there Tuesday morning.
She also said the patients had chosen not to release information about their medical conditions.
Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll told reporters a large crowd was at the scene when rescue units arrived.
