SRINAGAR: Two policemen were injured on Saturday when a “stone pelter” attacked them after a police team approached to arrest him, a police spokesman said.
He said on Saturday afternoon a police party was deputed to arrest one “notorious stone pelter” Nadeem Ahmad from Sabzimandi Baramulla.
“When the Police Party approached to arrest the stone pelter he attacked them with an Iron Weight injuring
two constables. One of them was seriously injured and has been referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
It did not mention about Nadeem’s arrest.
