LOWER DIR: On Monday, a bus overturned on Khazana Bypass Road here and fell into a ditch under the control of Munda police station, leaving one passenger dead and 39 others injured, five of them gravely.
While traveling from Karachi to Bajaur, driver Attaullah lost control of the bus, resulting in the disaster. After the passengers were saved, the Rescue 1122 personnel transported them to the Timergara district headquarters hospital. Because of their grave conditions, five of them were sent to the hospitals in Peshawar.
The rescue effort was overseen by additional assistant commissioner Tariq Khan and additional deputy commissioner Jan Mohammad.
As all was going on, Lower Dir DC Wasil Khan and extra assistant commissioner Hazrat Bilal went to the hospital to see how the injured were doing. He gave paramedics and physicians instructions to give them the finest care possible.
After filing a case, the police started their investigation.
