BEIJING: A Pakistani cuisine-based food festival, hosted by the Embassy of Pakistan in China, is all set to showcase Pakistani food culture starting today (Wednesday).
Entitled ‘Pakistani Food Extravaganza’, the event is scheduled to take place till 23rd Jan at the China World Hotel in Beijing. Chefs from Serena Hotel have specially flown to the Chinese capital in order to cook and prepare meals for this one-of-a-kind food affair.
The food fest aims to strengthen cultural ties between Pakistan and China through food, as food remains one of the founding pillars that strongly endorses the idea of increased cultural exchange and interaction amongst people and helps in building rapport with others.
‘Pakistani Food Extravaganza’ entails a diverse variety of local food items incorporating distinct flavors that the country’s cuisine is replete of. It includes the famous, traditional chicken haleem, dahi barey, and beef nihari along with various other Pakistani delicacies.
