SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, an Indian army official was arrested with eight kilogram of heroin worth millions in the international market, a top police officer confirmed.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Inspector General of Police S D Singh Jamwal while presenting him before the media in Jammu said, “The man was arrested yesterday and eight kilograms of pure quality heroin worth millions in the market, bearing Afghan markings, was found in his possession.”
The consignment, which was headed for Delhi, was the second major haul recovered in the past three days, IG Jamwal said.
The Army official belongs to Light Infantry regiment and is attached with the Army headquarters in Delhi.
He was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
