We can not deny the technological advancements that are taking place across the globe in each field of human life. Be it health, education, agriculture, finance, science or even food; almost every field is fully utilizing the blessings of technology in order to facilitate the human being at large. Similarly, since the inception of 3G/4G services in Pakistan, our country is also positively inclined towards the e-Governance initiatives. How to Apply for Driving License
A mobile application called “Rasta” will help people to apply for their driving license while sitting at homes. Rasta app will help the citizens to do the majority of manual operations ranging from the from e-challan to payment system online. So instead of going to traffic police office or banks; the initial steps will be done via this App “Rasta”.
Through “Rasta” drivers will be able to enter their data in order to create learners permit. And only for driving test, people will have to go to traffic police office. Also after passing of driving test their license will be delivered to home.
The mobile App Rasta is currently in the testing phase and will be officially launched soon.
Before this, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has also introduced the “Driving License Issuance and Management System” for the citizens of Punjab.
The introduction of such online services in Pakistan aims to help the common citizen of the country by making various processes simple and easy for them. Hence making Pakistan a true digital state in the world.
