RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa on Tuesday visited Bahawalpur Garrison where he was briefed on the operational preparedness and external security operations, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.
According to the army’s media cell, the COAS spoke to the troops upon his visit. He said that Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad will bring long-term stability and peace to the country.
The Army Chief said that the army pays tribute to those who gave sacrifices during security operations.
The COAS said that the war on terror better prepared the troops for conventional war, adding that the war also ‘toughened’ them.
