Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Shahryar Khan said on Tuesday that foolproof security will be provided to teams and fans for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the Gaddafi stadium to evaluate arrangements being made for the PSL final, Khan said there was a security risk but we will not bow down, adding that holding the final in Lahore was a big step.
“If the PSL final is held successfully, foreign teams will visit Pakistan,” Khan stressed.
The PCB chairman informed reporters that the schedule for the sale of tickets for the final will be announced soon.
On Monday, all franchises participating in the PSL in principle agreed to play the final in Lahore, as planned by the PCB.
During a meeting chaired by PSL chairman Najam Sethi, all the team owners took the time to reinforce their solidarity and conviction with the decision of taking the final of the PSL back to its rightful home, the Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore.
The PSL management further told franchise owners that at least 50 players, currently not part of the PSL, have agreed to visit Pakistan for the final of PSL if picked.
