KABUL: At least 27 people were killed and 35 wounded following a suicide attack at a Shia mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul, with a rise in casualties feared, police said on Monday.
“A blast was reported at around 1230 in police district 6 of Kabul, we are still gathering the details,” interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said.
Officials said the attack took place at the Baqir Olum mosque in the western part of the city.
