QUETTA: Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali said that the Quetta Civil Hospital Attack and the Police Training Centre Carnage were attempts to wipe out our generation.
He was addressing a press conference on Wednesday where he said that politicians should not use such tragedies to score points.
He said that the suicide bombers who attacked the police centre late on Monday night killing 61 policemen could not have operated alone without internal help.
He asked the government to reconsider its internal and foreign policies so that attacks like these can at least be reduced if not entirely eliminated.
He added that a peaceful Pakistan is impossible without a peaceful Afghanistan.
He said that everyone named in the Panama Leaks and Bahama Leaks should be investigated adding that the ANP was never in favour of unconstitutional moves.
“We accept every prime minister who comes to power through constitutional means,” he said. “But if he indulges in undemocratic behavior we will oppose him,” he said.
He called CPEC a game changer for the region and reiterated his support for the project. “The Prime Minister should keep up his promise of establishing a western route through CPEC.”
