QUETTA: In the first of official briefing on Police training attack, Inspector General FC Major General Sher Afghan informed the press that the attackers were getting directions from Afghanistan and the initial investigation suggests that the terrorists were affiliated with Lashkar-e- Jhangvi Al Almi.
Home Minister Baluchistan Sarfraz Bugti confirmed that three terrorists attacked the recruitment centre on Monday night.
Speaking to the press accompanied with Inspector General FC Major Gen Sher Afghan, Home Minister informed that after a brief exchange of fire with the personnel at the watchtower, the attackers entered hostel compound.
He said that the first attacker blew himself at the gate.
“Up till now as many as 20 security personnel have been martyred and 106 injured, however there are chances of more casualties”, he added
Bugti claimed that 95 percent of the area has been cleared.

Earlier speaking to Geo News, Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri said in response to a question that the government had received intelligence reports a couple of days earlier of the presence of a couple of militants who had entered Quetta to carry out subversive activities.
