ISLAMABAD: Friday’s heavy monsoon rain crippled civic life in Lahore, inundating low-lying areas of the metropolis, as meteorological department forecast more downpour in next two days, Samaa reported.
According to the Met Office, 20 to 56 mm rain was recorded in different areas of Lahore.

Rain-thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls is expected at a number of places in Punjab, Islamabad, KP, Sindh and Kashmir, while at scattered places in FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and eastern Balochistan.
Heavy downpour may trigger flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, Balochistan, KP, GB and Kashmir.

Good rains predicted during next 3 days
Met Office predicted good monsoon rain/thunderstorm at a number of places in the country during next 3 days, particularly on Saturday and Sunday.
Spokesman of Met Office informed that strong monsoon currents are penetrating in the country and a westerly wave is also expected to grip upper parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Heavy downpour may trigger flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, Balochistan, KP, GB and Kashmir. The concerned authorities are advised to remain ALERT during the period.
