The Saudi government is pondering whether it should copyright Aab-e-Zam Zam to protect it from counterfeiters, a report published in a Saudi newspaper said on Thursday.
According to the report in the Makkah newspaper, the authorities at the Harmain Shareefain Presidency are considering the decision after rising complaints of profiteers selling bottles of counterfeit Zam Zam water.
According to reports, a review committee has been constituted under the supervision of the presidency’s quality control department.
The committee will put forward its recommendations in this regard, said the report.
