Summer means sun-light exposure and this means tanning. Many of you have rushed to the cosmetic stores to buy you products that would prevent direct skin exposure. But there are some products that are right up your kitchen shelf.
Here are a few home remedies to cure tanning,
Tomato can help you out in de-tanning. Tomato pup contains lycopene which is a good sun protecting factor. Apply it for 20 minutes and then rinse it with regular water. You will have a tan-free skin.
Lemon juice is also an effective agent to cure tanning because it contains ascorbic acid. Using it with glycerin enhances its working manifold.
Potato juice along with a drop of lemon can be used to make a face pack, too.
Egg white with honey also helps in making the skin firm.
A very quick and easy recipe to cleanse the skin and remove dead layers is mixing curd and besan. One can use fuller earth as well with some rose water.
For those with oily skin, a mixture of cucumber juice mixed with curd or milk powder can dodge that tan.
Aloe Vera gel is known for healing damaged and tanned skin. Mix it with lemon to provide a protective layer to the skin.
A mix of besan, milk, masoor dal powder, lemon juice and pinch of turmeric can be applied on the affected area. After leaving it for 15 minutes, rinse your face with fresh water.
