KOLKATA: Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has vowed that the cricket team will rewrite history by defeating arch-rivals India in their upcoming World Twenty20 clash on March 19 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Waqar said: “India is under immense pressure and I am fully confident that Pakistan will win the match and change history. Victory is ours this time.”
“If we play with the same spirit that the players showed in the first match, Pakistan will defeat India,” said the head coach.
He went on to say that Pakistan batsmen were in good form and that Pakistani the pace attack was also better as compared to Indian fast bowlers.
“The Kolkata wicket is good. We will have a good match tomorrow,” said the former fast bowler.
