KARACHI: Security apparatus has been cranked up against the criminal activities in Karachi, as two gang-war operatives have been eradicated in an armed encounter in Lyari. Two terrorists have been captured in separate actions in different areas of the metropolis.
Two Lyari gangsters were killed in two separate armed encounters in different Lyari areas.
The killed goons—Muhammed Baloch and Bilawal alias Shah Ji—belonged to Uzair Baloch group. According to police, the criminals were wanted by police for involvement in multiple crimes including murder, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and hand grenade attacks.
Police recovered modern firearms from the criminals.
Meantime, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police nailed a target killer hailing from a political party.
According to CTD boss Mazhar Mashwani, the outlaw, Sher Ahmed, is involved in killing of seven people including two Rangers personnel.
Moreover, a law-enforcement agency raided a textile mill situated in Nooriabad and arrested a vital member of an outlawed organization.
Four bombs were seized from the custody of Aqeel Ansari, who has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogations.
