ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to inform the United Nations about Indian involvement in terrorism, Foreign Office Spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said on Thursday in a weekly press briefing.
PM Nawaz Sharif will meet all country heads on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session and inform them about Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing’s involvement in terrorism across Pakistan.
He said the national security advisor-level talks between Pakistan and India could not take place due to preconditions by India. He said Pakistan had said that any preconditions would not be acceptable for the talks.
He said Pakistan’s Permanent Envoy in UN Maleeha Lodhi had formally informed UN on suspension of talks between Pakistan and India. Pakistan will keep US abreast with every such matter, which causes concern for us, he added.
To a question, he said, “Currently there is no proposal under consideration for a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.”
To another question, Qazi said Pakistan Rangers and Indian BSF officials have met in the past as well. They will be meeting again next month to discuss ceasefire violations at the LoC and the Working Boundary.
To another question, he said Nawaz is expected to visit the United States this year on the invitation of US President Barrack Obama. Dates for the visit are still being worked out, he said, adding that Pakistan and the US enjoy excellent relations and both the sides discuss all issues.
When asked about peace talks between the Afghan government and Taliban, he said Pakistan is playing the role of a facilitator to bring peace to the war-torn country.
Qazi said, “In view of the prevailing security situation in some Middle Eastern and African countries due to internal strife and actions of non-state actors and terrorists, the Foreign Affairs Ministry wishes to advise the Pakistanis to avoid travel to such countries.”
“Although Pakistani Missions in these countries are always forthcoming to help Pakistan nationals in distress, their ability to do so is often limited due to the prevailing situation, turmoil and instability,” the FO spokesman said.
To a question on the Indian godfather, he said Pakistan has repeatedly said Dawood Ibrahim is not on its soil and two months back even an Indian minister had admitted the Pakistani stance, saying that India had no idea about his whereabouts.
Make sure he rehearses it or get someone more pragmatic and articulate to talk on his behalf.
Pakistan must show the true face of India and highlight Indian Terror inside Pakistan but also relocate people from the border and bring in bigger heavier guns and give those forked tongues Indians a befitting reply.
Let’s be under no pretence we are in a low intensity war with India and need to start calling a spade a spade.
If India foes not desist hot her harder and harder until she squeals.
