LAHORE: Seven death row prisoners including a son and father were hanged in different jails at Punjab this morning.
As many as 11 death convicts have been hanged so far since Eid ul Fitr. The seven condemned prisoners were executed in Attock, Sargodha, Gujarat, Multan and Kasur.
Death row prisoners Usman and his son Aftab was hanged in Attock Central Jail. Both were convicted of murdering a father and son over a property dispute in 1998.
Another prisoner Safdar was hanged in Attock Central Jail for killing one man in 2003.
Death row prisoner Nayer Abbas was hanged in Central Jail Multan, for murdering a man in Muzaffargarh over a business dispute in 1996.
Death row convict Muhammad Nawaz was executed in District Jail Sargodha for killing Farid Ahmad in 2002.
Condemned prisoner Gulfam Alias Gullu was hanged in district jail Gujarat as he had murdered one person at Jalal Pur Jattan in 2001.
