Rawalpindi: Jet strike of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the Alwara area of North Waziristan left at least 14 militants dead, military media wing ISPR said today.
Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed that the airstrike was carried, as part of the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in the region of North Waziristan.
“At least 14 militants were killed, including top commanders in the airstrike as the PAF jets pounded the militant hideouts,” ISPR said.
Pakistan forces launched offensive operation against terrorists in North Wazirisatan in June last year. Since then more than 90 percent area has been cleared from militants. Militant attacks in the country have dropped to six years low after one year of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
