The Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Monday the chances of sighting the Eid moon on Friday night were extremely high, Express News reported.
According to the Met department, Eidul Fitr will likely take place on Saturday, July 18.
The Met department said that the moon would be clearly sighted in Balochistan’s Panjgur as well as other areas.

In light of this, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is expected to meet on Friday for the sighting of the moon. Chairman of the committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman would chair a meeting of Sindh zonal committee at Pakistan Meteorological Department building in Karachi while other members of the committee would attend meetings of the provincial and district committees in their respective cities.
Eidul Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramazan. Ramazan commenced in the country from June 19.
