KARACHI: A strong 6-member Pakistan squad will take part in the 3rd Asian Team Event and 4th 6-Red Snooker Championships being held in Kish Island (Iran) from May 24 to 31, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) announced Tuesday.
Newly installed Asian Snooker Champion Hamza Akbar, former IBSF World Champion Muhammad Asif, World Team titled winner Muhammad Sajjad and Shahram Changezi are part of the team.
Shabbir Hussain Darulwala and Naveed Kapadia will act as referee in the championship.
In the meantime, a training camp of Pakistan players supervised by Naveed Kapadia commenced here at NBP Sports Complex Billiards Hall.
The camp will conclude on May 22 and team will be departing for Kish Island via Dubai on May 23 to participate in the continental
championship.
